A Hated Love

There was a time about 12 years ago when I had
the dragon on my back. I have been clean since then.
This is how I felt when I ran out of cocaine and heroin, my
drugs of choice.

My love has left me
Laying here in pain
The warmth of embrace
Has deserted me for chills

Parasites creeping
Through my veins
Where only a while ago
My one love traveled

I must now search
For the one I love
On the dangerous streets
Where cruelty is the king

On the corner
Stands the dealer
Whispering to passers by
He will help me find my love

“Coca, cheava, mota,
The best in town
I have your love here
You can now be happy again”

Sweet heavenly bliss
Warmth enters my veins
My love has returned
For a few more hours
