This is My Story
The road has been long and hard but I have finally reached the
place where I think I should be. Not that the traveling is over, it
isn't even close. At the foot of the cross of Jesus is where I belong
right now. I can't think of anywhere in this world more comfortable
and safe than here.
I haven't always felt this way though. There was a time when I just
wanted to be high on drugs or drunk on what ever I could get my hands
on at the time. That ended about ten years ago. I thank my Lord daily
that I am no longer in that state of mind.
With Gods help I am in my sixth semester of college and doing great.

This is a poem I wrote shortly after turning my
life over to the Lord. It shows how I fought the
Lord for so many years.
Are you up there God?
Can you hear my plea?
I'm right down here
On bended knee.
I need you Lord.
I'm alone and lost.
They say you paid
the precious cost.
You want me to give
My life to you?
That's something Lord,
That I can't do
My freedom means
Too much to me.
You ask too much,
Don't you see?
Are you up there God?
Can you hear my plea?
I'm right down here
On bended knee
I need you Lord,
The drugs took a toll,
And they have blackened
My very soul
You want me to give
My life to you?
That's something Lord,
That I can't do
My freedom means
Too much to me.
You ask too much.
Don't you see?
Are you up there God?
Can you hear my plea?
I'm right down here
On bended knee
I am dieing Lord.
Please come to me.
I need you now.
Oh hear my plea!
You want me to give
My life to you?
That's something Lord,
I'll gladly do
Glorious freedom!
This scarlet womans turned.
For within my soul
A love of God has burned
I am living Lord,
All dressed in white.
I finally saw
Jesus' loving light
